Located throughout one of the Peterborough’s largest villages in Cambridgeshire, Yaxley Festival features a host of live entertainments and attractions over the course of an action packed weekend. As always the festival played host to the traditional march through the streets of Yaxley led by Jack-The-Green, who handed over to Warwick Davis who was a joy to photograph whilst participating in the villages tree planting ceremony.
I attended the festival, which celebrates Yaxley’s vibrant community spirit, to photograph the event on behalf of a Peterborough based magazine. he phot brief I received was to capture the festivals entertainments and features in a mixture of colour and black and white imagery. These are just a handful of the images I captured across a most entertaining weekend.
We had a great time out at the Yaxely Festival in Peterborough, it was great to meet Warwick Davis, see Jack-The-Green and take part in the traditional tree planting ceremony. Fantastic photographs as always Paul, great to see you there and hope to have you there in a couple of years’ time when we do it all again!
