Driftwood is a small photography studio based in Peterborough, Cambridgeshire which is available to hire for photographers to shoot in. This is the booking page for the studio, you can read full details of all of Driftwood Studios features by clicking here.
In a nutshell Driftwood is the working space for professional photographer Paul David Smith and he has made the studio available during the times it isn’t use. It has been kitted out with wall mounted boom arms to make the best use of the space, battery operated studio lights so no trailing cables and a 3×3 metre working space so is practical for portraits, standard product shoots, etc.
The minimum hire period for the studio is 2 hours. We do not offer 1 hour slots, but the 2 hours minimum is yours so you are welcome to use as much or as little of the time as you require.
The studio is located in Paul’s house in Peterborough in what non-photographers would call a spare bedroom on the first floor.
Yes absolutely, Paul will always be on hand to talk you through the equipment, help you setup and offer advice and suggestions should you need them.
Yes we are located in a cul-de-sac and plenty of on-street parking is available.
Should you damage anything during your shoot you will be required to pay for it. All equipment is checked at the beginning and end of each session and if anything is broken at the end of the session that worked at the start of it you do, by placing a booking with us, agree to pay to have any breakages fixed or replaced. We obviously suggest arranging your own insurance so you are covered!
The fee and/or deposit you pay secures your chosen date and is only refundable up to 7 days prior to your booked date. If your booking falls within the next 7 days then this is non-refundable under any circumstances. Should you wish to change your date to another we will always do our best to accommodate this so long as we are given more than 7 days’ notice of your booked in date.
