We are offering photographers a unique opportunity to take part and shoot for themselves this fantasy photoshoot – Floating On A Bed Of Dreams.
The storyline for this shoot is a young girl wakes up floating on a bed in the middle of a lake, not knowing how she got there.
So how do we shoot it? We’ll hire a female model, float her out into the lake on an airbed attached to a rope so she is safe at all times and then we’ll work with you on creative ways to get the shot. If you want to get into the water, we’ll provide you with waders so you can do so. Alternatively, you can shoot this from the side of the lake with ease, so no need to get wet whatsoever.
On this photoshoot Paul will work with you to help you capture some amazing fantasy photos. He’ll provide as much or as little assistance and photography advice as you need.
We are likely to cover:
Perhaps the most important part of any image. Why are you taking the photograph? What message do you hope to communicate to the viewer? We’ll talk you through how we create a series of images that work together and tell a story.
- Location Hunting
How do we choose the best locations to work with our storytelling? What are the important elements of a potential shoot location that we look for? How do we decide where to shoot once we are at a location? We’ll answer all of these questions during this photography experience.
- Outfit & Prop Selection
We have over many years accumulated a vast array of props, dresses and outfits that we will pack into our car and bring with us. How and why do we choose our props? How do we use the props when shooting with them?
We’ll be shooting a mixture of natural light shots and studio flash shots dependent upon the conditions we find ourselves in and the feel we want to achieve. If you’ve never shot with studio lights on location this will be an education about how to use them and get realistic-looking results.
- Model Direction
Do you sometimes find yourself stood in front of a model with little to no idea of what you want from them? Perhaps you just don’t know what to say to them. A good image is created via a collaboration between the photographer and their subject so we’ll definitely be covering communication with your models.
If you are looking to take part in a photoshoot with a difference, this will get your images standing out in a crowded marketplace.
We have to organise your photoshoot, book models, etc. and this takes time. If you require this photoshoot at an earlier date then please get in contact.
Your photoshoot will take place at a location in Peterborough which will only be disclosed upon booking.
We like to run these sessions early in the morning as they give the best light which really fits with the theme of this shoot. This will be between 7am and 10am dependant upon the month of the year you book in. We can, of course, run them at other times of the day and we’ll agree the start time with you after you book. If the date in the calendar is green, we are free all day so confirming a mutually agreeable time won’t be a problem.
You need no prior skills to attend this training course. Please bring your camera with a fully charged battery (and spares), lenses and any accessories that you use frequently with you.
On the basis that everybody attending respects that we are around water then this shoot is perfectly safe. We tie the airbed to a line to ensure we can pull you in at any time. Whilst we do not expect you to end up in the water, you will need to confirm that you are a capable swimmer to participate in this shoot.
This photoshoot will last for 4 hours.
The fee and/or deposit you pay secures your chosen date and is only refundable up to 14 days prior to your booked training date. If your booked training date falls within the next 14 days then this is non-refundable under any circumstances. Should you wish to change your date to another we will always do our best to accommodate this so long as we are given more than 14 days’ notice of your booked in training date.
