Learn how to take great photographs at night on our Peterborough Night Photography Tour. You’ll be lead around Peterborough City Centre on this walking tour by professional photographer Paul David Smith who will teach you how to get the most out of your camera in low light situations.
Taking in some of Peterborough’s most photographic locations, you’ll learn how to control shutter speed, aperture, ISO and new creative composition techniques. This hands-on, fun, practical tour will give you new photography skills that will improve your photography for years to come.
On this 2-hour 1-2-1 city tour we will cover:
- Using shutter speed for long exposures and capturing light trails, perfect for moving vehicles, etc.
- The best aperture settings for night photography, giving you creative control and allowing you to let more light into the camera.
- Using ISO and white balance in dark environments.
- Creative photography compositions for great images.
Our absolute priority is keeping you and ourselves safe during your photography training session, with this in mind we have implemented the following procedures to ensure we can all enjoy the training session safely:
This course will take place outdoors where it has been scientifically proven that the risk of Coronavirus transmission is much less.
We will maintain 2 metre social distancing at all times, this is easy as we will be outside anyway.
All equipment used will be disinfected both before and after your training session.
Hand sanitizer, gloves and hand-washing facilities will be readily available at all times. You are very welcome to wear a mask should you wish too.
Paul has been tested for Coronavirus prior to restarting training with the result coming back negative.
You need no prior skills to attend this training course. Please bring your camera with a fully charged battery (and spares), lenses and any accessories that you use frequently with you.
Yes no problem, we have a Canon 5D MKIII and various lenses available to loan for the day. There is no additional fee for this, we will just ask you to sign something that says if you break it, you agree to pay to get it fixed.
This tour has a different start time for each month of the year to correspond with sunset time. Please select your date from the calendar above and start times will be displayed. We’ll run until finished but they usually last around 2 hours long.
This course will take place in Peterborough City Centre. The meeting point will be provided upon booking.
The fee and/or deposit you pay secures your chosen date and is only refundable up to 7 days prior to your booked training date. If your booked training date falls within the next 7 days then this is non-refundable under any circumstances. Should you wish to change your date to another we will always do our best to accommodate this so long as we are given more than 7 days’ notice of your booked in training date.
You can add additional attendees using the form above. These are charged at £50.00 per person.
