Taking the decision to be involved in a boudoir photo-shoot might be one of the most nerve-racking decisions a person can make, but it can also be one of the most fun, rewarding and confidence-building experiences you can be involved in. Paul David Smith is a professional boudoir photographer, he is an easy-going, relaxed individual who has over the years photographed hundreds of people from all walks of life in boudoir photoshoots. He understands the personal nature of such a photo-shoot and strives to deliver professional images that both himself and his clients will be proud of.
Paul will listen to your ideas and together you will build a style for your photo-shoot, developing a full understanding of what will happen on the day well before the shoot actually occurs. Every shoot is different and there is no one size fits all template to work from with boudoir photography, so the shoot will be completely tailored to your own requirements. We’ll often ask you to create a Pinterest board with images that you like before the shoot takes place. this allows us to see what type of images you like best and use them as inspiration for your own shoot.
We shoot all our boudoir sessions in our home studio. This offers you complete privacy during the shoot and the only person present from our side will be Paul. You are very welcome to bring somebody with you should you wish too. We run shoots from our home frequently and this means we know the shots that are going to work immediately and there is no trial and error in setting up in unfamiliar surroundings. From your perspective, you’re going to get great shots because we’ve often tested the setups out already and know they work.
Our absolute priority is keeping you and ourselves safe during your photoshoot, with this in mind we have implemented the following procedures to ensure we can all enjoy the photoshoot safely:
Paul will wear mask and gloves throughout the photoshoot due to it taking place within our photography studio.
We will maintain 2 metre social distancing at all times.
All equipment, furniture, door handle, etc. will be disinfected both before and after your photoshoot.
Hand sanitizer, gloves and hand-washing facilities will be readily available at all times.
Paul has been tested for Coronavirus which came back negative.
No, you’ll need to either do this yourself or organise a hair / makeup artist to attend during your session. We’ve no problem if you’d like them to do your hair and makeup here.
Your session will last up to 3 hours. It may be quicker, but we like to get it right and not rush things so please do allow this amount of time.
You will usually receive between 25-40 high resolution, professionally edited images available via digital download within 72 hours of the shoot.
Yes of course, you are very welcome to bring somebody with you. Please note however our house isn’t huge, so we’d prefer this to be one person than an entourage of family and friends.
From our side it will just be Paul present, nobody else. You are welcome to bring somebody with you if that would make you more comfortable.
Our preference is to always do this boudoir photoshoot in our studio. It is however entirely possible for us to do the shoot at your location, please contact us before booking and we’ll discuss it with you.
