It’s not every day you get the opportunity to shoot with a model in a giant underwater filming tank so this underwater portrait will always be one to remember for me.
The tank which was located at an aquarium store in Peterborough is the same one used on programmes such as Britain’s Got Talent and after waiting a fair old time for it to be filled with water I was able to photograph the model through the clear glass panels on all sides without the need to get wet, bonus!
I worked with a couple of different models on the day who were all excellent at keeping a composed look under the water, keeping their eyes open and holding their breath long enough for me to compose the shot.
Such inspiring photographs! I want to do a shoot like this so much but I’m not sure I could look so elegant underwater like the models you have used. I’ll get in touch though to discuss it more, maybe we could try!
