What To Expect
This full day experience blends hands on photography training with fun photography related challenges in order to strengthen teamwork and creative thinking. Taking place at your venue, or one that we hire specifically for the day, teams will compete in numerous activities that build problem solving, innovation and creative thinking skills. By spending a day with a professional photographer, all participants will walk away from the day with improved photography skills, able to take better photographs no matter what camera they are using, including their phones!
We always tailor the day to your specific requirements but a standard team building day would cover:
Learning the Basics: A quick and engaging session on photography fundamentals which they’ll use throughout the day and in their own personal photographs going forward.
Creative Team Challenges: Fun, interactive competitions designed to get teams working more closely together. These are unique activities that push creative thinking whilst building both team and photography skills.
Awards & Recognition: Teams compete for prizes in categories like Best Storytelling, Most Creative Shot, and Funniest Photo.
Digital Gallery: You’ll get access to an online gallery featuring team photos from the day.
Entirely Tailored To Your Requirements
We’ve got some proven ideas and concepts that we know work really well for these team building days, however they are entirely customisable to meet your own needs. During the planning stage we offer 3 different activities or challenges for each element of the day for you to choose from. We’ll always highlight the ones we think will work best for your team, but you can mix and match each element to build the day out how you want it.
Example Itinerary
9:30 AM – Welcome & Icebreaker
Who Took This Photo? is an engaging icebreaker where participants submit a personal photo of a meaningful moment from their lives. The group then has to guess who the photo belongs to, prompting laughter, intrigue and instant team connections.
10:00 AM – Photography Bootcamp & Mini Challenge
Teams dive into a hands on introduction to photography, covering composition, lighting, and storytelling through interactive exercises. They’ll immediately put their skills to the test in a creative mini challenge, transforming ordinary objects into extraordinary works of art.
11:00 AM – The Storytelling Challenge
Each team is given a random storytelling theme and must create a 5-photo series that tells a compelling visual story. The challenge is to communicate emotion, action, and narrative through images alone. No captions, no explanations!
12:30 PM – Lunch Break
Time to relax and enjoy some food. Paul will always engage with anybody throughout lunch who has any photography questions or problems.
1:30 PM – Photography Scavenger Hunt
The Photography Scavenger Hunt is a fast-paced, high-energy challenge where teams race against the clock to complete creative photo prompts. From optical illusions to forced perspectives, this activity pushes creativity, teamwork, and problem-solving, all while capturing some very unique images.
2:30 PM – The Creative Portrait Challenge
This challenge is all about pushing the creative boundaries of portrait photography. Teams will step in front of and behind the camera, using props, lighting, and innovative concepts to capture unique and often humorous portraits of each other.
4.00 PM – Awards & Showcase
A big part of the day is our awards ceremony where we will find fun and humorous reasons to try and present as many people as we can with an award!
4:30 PM – Closing Remarks & Digital Gallery Access
We will make all of images taken from the day available in an online gallery for everybody to access via a custom URL.

Holly – BT Group –
Paul and his team delivered a laughter filled, educational and inspiring day that we’ve all been talking about for what feels like weeks afterwards. From his opening ice breaker we knew it was going to be fun and I was thrilled to see him immediately engage with everybody to get them involved. The day just got better an better from there, each element of it seemed well thought out and made people work together in different ways. He is not just a great photographer, he delivered the day with creativity and passion in a fun, easy to understand manner. I certainly recommend this team building day to others.
